LATIN VIA FABLES: AESOPUS

Aesop's Fables... in Latin!

Ning Diary: Jan. 8 - Lexicon Januale at the wiki!

An exciting new development at the Comenius Lexicon wiki - Evan Millner has started digitizing his own personal copy of the Lexicon Januale (beginner's dictionary), which is not currently available anywhere online at all. It's a fascinating dictionary, organized according to word roots and derivations - a wonderful way for beginners to learn vocabulary in a systematic way!

Here's a typical entry under the letter "A" (see the webpage):
ACer ( vel AC-ris) aceti sapor (ACredine sua urit lingvam ACriter ; sicut et sinapi ACrimonia sua. At Eqvus ACer ACritate cursus sese commendat.
Isn't that fascinating??? Having both the Lexicon Atriale and the Lexicon Januale available online is going to be a marvelous resource for both teachers and students of Latin! Wow!
