LATIN VIA FABLES: AESOPUS

Aesop's Fables... in Latin!

Turpilucricupidus.

Wow. What a great word. Craving filthy lucre. I can't wait to shoehorn that into a sentence. Ain't this a great language! It's amazing what one will stumble upon when reading the dictionary.

Ha ha, Neill, not only is it a great word, it is eminently Google-able! Here is what comes up
Google search for turpilucricupidus

I am not surprised to find at the top of the Google search results a wonderful blog entry by Michael Gilleland, at his Laudator Temporis Acti blog, one of my very favorite blogs of all time - here are his thoughts about this great word! :-)
