Thank you for your quick response. I do hope that the internet will be very useful in promulgating this most worthy enterprise. Your work that I have seen so far is beyong fantastic. Keep it up. Loran Carrier
Cara Laura,
Grazie ancora e saluti carissimi.
Mauro
Certe! Post aliquot menses (vel post minus temporis), fortasse, temptabo :) Modus discendi latinitatis meus constat hoc, tempto cogitare latine ac scribere/componere. Fere quotidie nuper. Et hoc valde delectat me :)
Happy new year to you also, Laura! I've just come back from a lovely holiday, and having finally caught up on a ton of email, I'm very impressed with how this Comenius project is taking off. I'm working on a page right now, and look forward to making a contribution.
Vere :) Non difficile, iam video. Fortasse...
Scio tantum, scriptores lituanorum scribebant multas fabilas aesopicas lituanice... :)
I agree about the blogging. It's funny that I can't use, at my school, any of the cool ning resources Andrew, you and others have been using--even when it's allowed I don't have the bandwidth for the layout or the content. That's a big drawback for ning, and ning has so many other things going for it. But...the funny thing is, that I can use blogger for free, and sneak under the admin's radar--and get lots of good work done quickly.
Keep your eyes open for a new blog and podcast site I'll be putting up after APA in Philly; I'm the organizer for the Outreach panel and we're hoping to podcast the talks themselves.
I just want you to know how much we use /all/ your widgets, including the Aesop and of course the proverbs. Honestly, I work with them all every day of the week. And, my principal was very impressed with how I am using this with Promethean/SmartBoard in our classrooms. It's an invaluable resource for us time-pressed teachers and I want to keep supporting your good work!
Salve, Laura :) Habito, habito in Lituania.
Hello Laura!
My eldest son went to Hillsboro for a while! The year you graduated I had just moved to Nashville! Great be here and wonderful to hear from you! I may be asking for some assistance from time to time on my Latin, which is rusty and almost non-existant but I am auditing a class right now so I am slowly progressing as time permits!
Fortuna tecum sit per Annum Novum
Sint tibi omnia felicia et fausta
Annum Novum Fausta Felicia!
Lucia
P.S. I am never offended if my Latin useage is corrected, I welcome it along with an explanation as it helps reinforce it--
Hanc fabulam bene scio, domina docta! nam est fons et origo illius sententiae Anglicanae"to blow hot and cold", quod haud multi qui Anglice callent sciunt
Oh, one question. I just did a page of Comenius. Had to get my feet wet. I realized after I finished, that I was automatically typing his "j" as an "i". I just do this so much that it was unconscious. Have you made a statement about what to do with "j"? I saw your guidelines about the "ae" issue. Also, one of the words I had was "aer" (air not bronze), and his text had the umlaut over it. I did not type that. Should I have?

Luna niteat, sol resplendeat, sub eodem caelo habitamus eadem lingua colloquentes! ;)
